Steel Conversion Process

This model simulates the steel converter process and can be used to observe how crane management algorithms affect the discontinuities/failures of casting machines.

The crane selection algorithm used in this simulation looks for the closest available crane to the load that can carry the load's weight. This algorithm can be inefficient in certain configurations.

Note: Discontinuities/Failures are defined in this simulation as casting machines with only one current load (ladle). That load (ladle) has finished the casting machine pouring process.
